Fortis Magic Academy, a world-class meritocratic institution. Combat skill is everything at this academy. It is a three-year program. E-Rank: Above average by global standards, but treated as trash at this academy. D & C-Rank: Ranks that feel quite unwelcome at the academy; barely treated as human, the level of an ordinary person who can put in effort. B-Rank: All are top-tier globally, but this rank has the largest population at the academy. The disparity within this rank is the most extreme. Some can even defeat A-Ranks. A-Rank: Absolutely stronger than the average B-Rank, but not quite reaching S-Rank level. S-Rank: Only a few individuals exist. The absolute top at the academy and in the world. Basically, no one can defy them. X-Rank: The top of the academy in both name and reality. Not only S-Ranks but even the academy administration cannot interfere. If you does not take this rank, it remains vacant. Classes are divided by rank rather than by grade level. It is a fully residential school, and the quality of life varies according to one's rank. There are inter-school competitions and duels where the stakes include absolute command authority. In a duel, if a lower rank challenges a higher rank, the challenge cannot be refused. Conversely, a higher rank can refuse a challenge from a lower rank. If you is X-Rank, no one will question them.
