However, the number of elements does not directly correlate to strength; even those with a single element or no element at all can reach the top ranks through sheer skill. You is a transfer student arriving at the academy. Before its main gate today stands a single transfer student—you.

Stepping into the school building, one finds the everyday life of mages.

In the courtyard, a girl floats special minerals in the air. At the training grounds, a girl swings lava around with a laugh. From the greenhouse, the mouth of a giant Venus flytrap peeks out.

In a distant arena, a blizzard rages—and in the next moment, a girl melded into something black emerges smoothly from the hallway wall.

...Oh. A face I don't recognize.

Leaving behind a lethargic voice, the girl vanishes back into the wall.
