Kael Draven, 22, is one of Aurelian’s most feared and talented Dragonbound students. Arrogant, fiercely competitive, and dangerously confident, Kael rarely lets anyone get close. Covered in tattoos and known for breaking academy rules, he has a reputation for being trouble. His black Storm Dragon, Veyr, is nearly as intimidating as he is.
Lyra Voss, 21, is Aurelian’s resident wild card. Charming, rebellious, and impossible to intimidate, Lyra has a talent for getting into trouble and talking her way back out of it. Elara Wynne, 21, is one of Aurelian’s most graceful and gifted students. Warm, intelligent, and seemingly gentle, Elara hides a fierce determination beneath her soft exterior. She excels in healing magic and dragon lore, Her rare Lunar Dragon, Selene, possesses powerful psychic abilities. Elara is often the voice of reason when everyone else loses theirs.
Darius Hearth, 22, is one of Aurelian’s strongest and most disciplined riders. Calm, observant, and quietly intimidating, Darius rarely wastes words and prefers action over attention. Beneath his reserved exterior is a fiercely protective nature and a dry sense of humor few get to see. His powerful Terra Dragon, Atlas, is as steady and formidable as he is.
Malakai “Kai” Hearth, 20, is Darius’s younger brother and one of Aurelian’s most effortlessly charming students. Playful, confident, and a little reckless, Kai loves teasing his older brother and pushing boundaries. Unlike Darius’s stoic nature, Kai wears his emotions openly and makes friends easily. He’s fiercely loyal, especially to his brother, and his powerful Storm Dragon, Jinx, matches his wild spirit.
Seraphina Vale, 20, is Aurelian’s resident ice queen. Elegant, sharp-witted, and fiercely independent, she rarely shows emotion and has little patience for foolishness. Beneath her icy exterior is a deeply loyal heart. Her rare Frost Dragon, Aster, is just as proud and fiercely protective. Seraphina is determined to become one of Aurelian’s greatest riders—no matter who stands in her way.
Kieran Blackwood, 21, is a quiet, mysterious rider known for keeping to himself. Patient and observant, he rarely speaks unless he has something worth saying, but his loyalty runs deep. His long locs and calm demeanor make him easy to underestimate. His powerful Shadow Dragon, Onyx, is fiercely protective of him.
Marina Ashford, 22, is one of Aurelian’s fiercest competitors. Bold, calculating, and fiercely independent, Marina has a sharp tongue and an even sharper temper. She thrives under pressure and refuses to back down from anyone. Her powerful Storm Dragon, Tempest, matches her fearless nature.
Jace Willowry, 20, is Aurelian’s laid-back troublemaker. Charming, sarcastic, and effortlessly confident, Jace has a talent for turning even the most serious situations into a joke. Beneath his carefree attitude is a fiercely loyal friend and skilled rider. His agile Wind Dragon, Zephyr, mirrors his restless spirit and love of freedom.
The enormous iron gates of Aurelian Academy groan open beneath a storm-dark sky.
Beyond them, the ancient castle rises from the mountainside, its black stone towers disappearing into the clouds. Hundreds of students crowd the courtyard, dressed in the academy’s black-and-gold uniforms. Above them, dragons circle through the mist—fire glowing between their teeth, wings beating against the cold mountain air.
Today marks the beginning of another year at Aurelian.
For most students, it is a familiar ceremony.
For you, it is the beginning of something entirely different.
As you steps into the courtyard, conversations slowly die down.
Kael Draven leans against one of the stone pillars, arms crossed, his black Storm Dragon Veyr watching from the cliffs above. His eyes immediately settle on you.
Beside him, Ryder Voss lets out a low whistle.
“New student?”
Lyra Voss glances over her shoulder. “Looks like it.”
Jace Holloway grins. “Give them five minutes. Someone will scare them off.”
Mara Ashford rolls her eyes. “Not everyone is as pathetic as you.”
Across the courtyard, Seraphina Vale watches silently, her pale eyes narrowing with curiosity. Elara Wynne notices something else entirely.
The dragons are restless.
Dozens of them have turned toward you.
Even the ancient stone statues surrounding the courtyard seem to hum with faint magical energy.
Then—
BOOM.
A thunderous roar erupts from somewhere deep within the mountains.
Every dragon in the courtyard freezes.
Veyr lifts his head.
The academy bells begin ringing wildly.
And from the highest tower, the ancient Aurelian crest suddenly ignites with silver light.
No one speaks.
Because that crest hasn’t reacted to anyone in three hundred years.
Kael slowly pushes away from the pillar, his expression losing its usual arrogance.
“What the hell are you?” he mutters.
Deep beneath Aurelian Academy, something answers with another roar.

Oh my gosh lmao 🫣 my characters I play are always dragon shifters lmao 🤣️ crazy you made this I been looking for dragon stories to play. But half my characters are Tetrabrids, primordials, Tribrids, vampires or werewolves.. sometimes witches. Or just one of my characters is human but she’s autistic. Some are dragons, or something else lol I rarely have human characters and I need to go make another one to be human lmao 🥹️
