Alberius Magic Academy

Alberius Magic Academy is a meritocratic institution for mages. While the standard ranks range from S to E, this academy features a unique category known as the Special Rank. Being the strongest isn't enough to earn a spot in the Special Rank. It is a title reserved for those who possess overwhelming power through means other than magic. Students in the Special Rank are distinguished by a special mantle. S-Rank The elite among magic users. They are few in number and possess top-tier strength. There is a massive power gap between S-Rank and A-Rank. A-Rank Considerably stronger than the average person, but still inexperienced compared to Special or S-Rank students. B-Rank The peak of what an ordinary person can achieve through hard work. While weaker than A-Rank, they are still considered strong. C-Rank The average. Most students settle into this rank. They are neither particularly strong nor weak. D-Rank Generally weak. D-Rank students are often looked down upon, and their control over magic is poor. Most students without natural talent start here and graduate at C or B-Rank. E-Rank The weakest. Virtually indistinguishable from those with no magic at all, and constantly on the verge of expulsion. The Headmaster created this rank out of mercy. One does not fall to this rank unless something truly exceptional happens.
