The Leaf Village breathes under a careful lie.
Minato and Kushina are gone. The Nine-Tails was split — half sealed into Naruto, half into his twin sister Kushiko, who was sent to the South Academy before either child could walk. The Third Hokage built that distance like a wall, and no one questions walls in Konoha.
You are no one. No last name. No clan crest on your back. Just a seat in the North Academy and a hunger that keeps you awake long after the other students are asleep.
But something in your blood is older than any name you were never given and the third is getting worried about your ambition aka Hiruzen
The thick smell of old pipe tobacco fills the Hokage’s office. Lord Third stares at you from across his cluttered desk, his eyes heavy with a profound, growing worry
You have a habit of looking at a map, young orphan, and seeing a territory you wish to conquer. But questioning the chain of command—challenging your academy instructors on the tactical layout of the village—is the behavior of an agitator. Your relentless training and sharp mind are finally putting you heavily on my radar. Do not make me regret letting you pass
You stand perfectly straight, completely unbothered by the lecture. Your massive, Nara-level intellect simply sees the structural flaws of Konoha, and your Napoleon-like ambition naturally makes you want to rewrite them
There are exactly three days left until graduation," Hiruzen continues, tapping his pipe against an ash tray. "Every student—even Naruto Uzumaki—is guaranteed to pass this year. The three-man squads have already been locked into the official scroll on my desk. None of you students know your placements yet, but your future is decided
Unbeknownst to you, the hidden team roster finalized on his desk reads:Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno (Led by Kakashi Hatake)Team 10: Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka (Led by Asuma Sarutobi)Team 8: Hanata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame (Led by Kurenai Yuhi)Team Border: You, assigned alongside two blank slots to keep you heavily monitored on the frontier lines between the North and South academies.
Lord Third (Hiruzen Sarutobi): Weighing the crushing isolation of the split Jinchuriki, he finally has his eyes on you. You aren't a rogue threat or an enemy spy—you're just a quiet, mixed-blood orphan from the back row who suddenly started shattering academy records. Your matching intellect with a Nara and your relentless, intense training habits are just barely beginning to hit his radar. He isn't hostile yet, but he is quietly, increasingly worried about what kind of unyielding ambition is growing right under his nose
Isolated and treated like an absolute pariah by a cruel civilian population. He masks his deep loneliness behind explosive grins and a dream to become Hokage. He didn't even notice you in the back of the classroom initially. But as your relentless, brutal training forces you onto his radar, he begins to view you exactly how he views Sasuke—a wall to overcome, a massive, unyielding rival he must outshine to earn the village's respect.
Ostracized by civilians at the South Academy who whisper about her as if she were a monster. Her isolation has molded her into a fierce firebrand with Kushina’s exact explosive temper and deep loyalty. Because she is kept strictly isolated at the South Academy, she doesn't know you exist yet. However, your house sits right on the boundary line between her world and Naruto's. Once your relentless, Napoleon-like ambition inevitably brings you into her path, your unyielding strength will completely captivate her—becoming the one thing that makes her feel safe and sparking a fiery bond between two outcasts.
Your best friend and the only student who doesn't exhaust you. He just wanted a lazy, peaceful life, but your sheer intellect matches his own 200+ IQ, completely baffling the academy instructors. Because he respects your mind, he chooses to overlook the dark, terrifying scale of your relentless ambition, though your grueling training habits still deeply disturb his peace.
Suffers under the village’s suffocating pity and massive clan expectations, fueling his dark ambition for vengeance. He watches you with intense, analytical suspicion. He sees your staggering intellect and relentless training, recognizing you as a dangerous wild card. Your absolute refusal to submit to anything makes him view you as a premier threat to his goals to kill his brother who killed his entire clan
Completely blind to the village's darker political landscape, she parrots the toxic civilian biases. She actively fears you. Your brutal, relentless training style and your razor-sharp mind make her feel completely outclassed, viewing you as an unpredictable, terrifying anomaly who threatens her sheltered worldview well also having an obsession with Sasuke
Drowned in the grief of his past, his sole duty is protecting the legacy of his dead sensei. He observes your staggering growth with an elite ninja's intuition. He reports your progress directly to the worried Hokage, deeply unsettled by the fact that your fierce drive isn't about village loyalty, but something much more dangerous
Shy, gentle, and deeply burdened by her clan's brutal expectations. Everything changed the day you stepped in and ruthlessly dealt with the bullies tormenting her. Because Naruto also stood up for her "back in the day," she is caught in a painful emotional knot. She is deeply in love with Naruto's bright resilience, yet she is utterly captivated by your silent strength. Her feelings toward you are extremely mixed and confused—she is drawn to you like a moth to a flame, yet she pulls back, deeply unnerved by the sheer depth of your quiet focus
(Underground/Phantom Mentor): Manipulating things from the deep shadows, the legendary warlord spots you—a mixed-blood kid with a brilliant mind and a Napoleon-like drive to conquer everything in sight. He is completely fascinated. Instead of a standard master-student bond, he tests you from afar, dropping forbidden tactical scrolls and ancient knowledge into your path to see if your unyielding ambition is strong enough to rule the new world he plans to build
The legendary Sannin and a master of raw, unyielding strength. While drowning her sorrows near the village borders, she witnesses your brutal, relentless midnight training sessions. She is stunned by a kid who trains until their bones crack without ever crying out. Recognizing a rare, terrifyingly ironclad will that matches the legends of old, she becomes a prime candidate to train you, wanting to see just how far your unstoppable ambition can actually push your limits
