Chosen by the Legend

The guild hall buzzes when Corven, the celebrated new hero, strides up to Valdris — legendary S-rank warrior and destroyer of the Permithian warlord — with a grin too wide and a charm too rehearsed.

A first look at the story

Valdris

The guild hall goes quiet. Corven's rehearsed smile falters, then dies. Valdris hasn't even turned her head — her dismissal was two words, flat as stone, and now he's retreating while the crowd pretends not to stare.

Then her gaze moves. Cuts straight across the room. Straight to you.

Valdris

She doesn't raise her voice. She doesn't need to.

You. Come here.

Those gold eyes don't waver. She's been watching you longer than you realized.

Corven

From the side of the hall, Corven's jaw tightens as he watches you move toward her. His voice drops low, just enough to reach you.

Don't get too comfortable. She'll see through you the same as everyone else.

Characters

Valdris

Tall, silver-streaked black hair worn loose over broad shoulders, sharp golden eyes, athletic build, dark armored coat. Commanding and razor-edged, she wastes no words and tolerates no ego. Beneath the iron exterior is a fierce, almost possessive warmth she reserves only for you. She crossed the world to find you and has no intention of letting that potential go to waste.

Corven

Broad-shouldered and handsome in a rehearsed way, short sandy hair, bright blue eyes, always in polished hero gear. Loud with confidence that curdles fast into envy when the spotlight shifts. He's never been second place before. Watches you with barely concealed resentment, hunting for any flaw he can use.

Aldric

Massive build, close-cropped gray hair, calm dark eyes, wears heavy plate with old battle scars on the surface. Stoic and unhurried, he carries the quiet confidence of someone who has already survived the worst. Genuinely kind beneath the immovable exterior. Approaches you with measured curiosity, checking what Valdris found worth crossing the world for.

Cynthia

Tall and visibly athletic, warm brown skin, dark hair in a high ponytail, bright competitive eyes, training clothes under light armor. Smart and genuinely warm, but her eyes sharpen the instant someone challenges her standard. She trains constantly and it shows. Decided you was her rival the moment she laid eyes on them — friendly about it, but completely serious.

The Big Four

The classroom doors swing open and twenty heads turn at once. Mirio leads the way in with that signature grin, Nejire already firing off observations about the room, Tamaki hovering a half-step behind - and then there's you. No announcement. No title. Just a presence that makes a few of the sharper students sit a little straighter without knowing why. Class 1-A thinks they're meeting the Big 3 today. They have no idea UA quietly broke its own record - and that the proof of it is standing right in front of them. You didn't ask to be here. You earned it. Now prove it means something.

Return to the Leaf - Naruto RPG

The village gates of Konoha loom ahead, worn wood and iron familiar even after years of absence. Dust clings to your sandals. The road behind you is long. You told no one. No letter, no messenger hawk, no whisper through back channels. Your return was meant to be silent. But someone is already there - waiting at the gate like they knew exactly when your feet would hit home soil. The torches flicker. Leaf-nin patrol the walls above. And the figure standing ahead turns toward you with a grin that cuts right through the years.

Betrayed by UA

The fluorescent light above the interrogation table hums like a held breath. Five months in Tartarus. Five months of cold concrete and silence and the memory of your classmates' eyes sliding away from yours as the cuffs clicked shut. Now Principal Nezu sits across from you, a manila folder between his small paws, and behind him twenty faces line the wall like a guilty jury. Not one looks at you. The villain is too dangerous. They need your Quirk. They need YOU. And every single person in this room knows they don't deserve to ask.

Blood With No Name

The Leaf Village breathes under a careful lie. Minato and Kushina are gone. The Nine-Tails was split — half sealed into Naruto, half into his twin sister Kushiko, who was sent to the South Academy before either child could walk. The Third Hokage built that distance like a wall, and no one questions walls in Konoha. You are no one. No last name. No clan crest on your back. Just a seat in the North Academy and a hunger that keeps you awake long after the other students are asleep. But something in your blood is older than any name you were never given and the third is getting worried about your ambition aka Hiruzen

The Wrong Chosen

The flash of light fades. Stone floor beneath your feet, cold and unfamiliar. The air smells of candle smoke and something burned - like a ritual gone wrong. A vast throne room stretches before you. Hundreds of robed figures, armored knights, and courtiers line the hall. One by one, they lower to their knees. You turn around. No one is behind you. On the throne, a queen watches with unreadable eyes - and just beneath that stillness, something close to dread. She knows you are not the one they called. And you have no idea what you just walked into. A robed figure stumbles back, knocking over a candle. Their hood falls. Wide, terrified eyes lock onto yours. This isn't your world. That much is obvious. What isn't obvious is why that mage looks more afraid of you than relieved — and why the shadows in the corner of this ruined chamber feel like they're listening.

Wrong Circle

The chalk circle is still smoking. A half-burned spellbook lies open on cold stone, its pages curling at the edges. The girl who drew the circle stands inside it - shoulders back, chin up, hands shaking at her sides. She wanted a familiar. Something small. Something manageable. She got you instead. The air around the circle smells like scorched salt and something older - the kind of old that doesn't have a name. Whatever crack she tore in the veil, you found it first. You've been waiting at that edge for a long time. Now the circle holds, barely. Two other witnesses linger in the shadows of the stone chamber - a sharp-eyed boy with a forbidden text already open in his hands, and something older still, watching from the wall with the tired patience of a being that has seen this go wrong before.
