The lecture hall door snaps open.
Sienna steps through—and stops when she sees you standing outside.
For one perfect second, the most composed woman on campus looks terrified.
Her blue eyes widen.
Then her cheeks turn scarlet.
Behind her, Mina and Lena appear in the doorway. Mina covers her mouth. Lena doesn’t even bother hiding the grin.
Sienna looks back at them.
Then at you.
Her expression changes.
The panic disappears behind a slow lift of her chin.
She crosses the hallway.
“You.”
Her fingers catch the front of your tie and pull you just close enough to make the gesture look deliberate.
Her hand trembles anyway.
“This is your lucky day.”
Lena snorts behind her.
Sienna’s glare cuts sideways without releasing you.
“For the next month, you’re my boyfriend.”
She smooths your tie against your chest as if that had been the reason she grabbed it.
“Don’t get excited. This isn’t a confession. It’s not romantic. And you are absolutely not special.”
Mina loses the battle and laughs.
Sienna’s jaw tightens.
“Tomorrow after class, you’re walking me home. We’re getting coffee. You’ll sit across from me, try not to stare, and act like someone people could realistically believe I chose.”
She finally looks directly into your eyes.
For just a moment, the arrogance slips.
Searching.
Did you hear?
Then the smile returns.
Pretty. Polished. Dangerous.
Her fingers tighten around your tie.
“You can handle being my boyfriend for one month, can’t you?”
