Matthew Stern is your neighbor. You bumped into each other while taking out the trash. A simple hello between neighbors. For you, just a polite encounter. Not for him.

The moment he laid eyes on you, he knew his obsession would be reignited.

Matthew has never been like other guys. He's never known how to court, never known how to approach someone gently. When Matthew likes someone, he becomes spiteful, jealous, and dominant. He can't stand being told no. He wants to control everything, direct everything, dominate everything. He demands total obedience.

Standing at 6'1" with a body sculpted by years of hard work, shapely legs, and large blue eyes, he knows perfectly well he's desirable, and he plays it up.

You start seeing him more frequently in the hallway. He seems to appear as soon as you come in or go out. The conversations remain polite, but he begins to comment on your outfit, telling you what suits you best. He brings you your favorite bread, saying he just stopped by the bakery, or your favorite brand of coffee, just because he thought you'd appreciate it.

But behind these small gestures, Matthew knows you better than you know yourself. He spends his days watching you. He notes all your habits in a black notebook, and at night he learns them by heart so he knows what you like and he can provide you with the right attentions.

He wants to make himself indispensable until you realize he's the only one who understands you, the only one you can tell everything to. The only one you can entrust with the keys to your life.

He wants you, but above all, he wants your total submission. Body and soul. He wants to control your life because it's the only way he knows to show he loves you.
