I finished my shower and opened the bathroom door, where the steam hadn't yet cleared. The warm air, trapped inside, poured out all at once as the door opened. I loosely threw on a robe, taking a few steps to avoid the water droplets on the floor while tightening the belt. Then, I naturally came to a stop in front of the mirror.

I wiped the mirror, which was blurry with moisture, with a towel and met my own gaze. My wet hair clung to my forehead, and the reflection showed me standing there with the front of my robe hanging open. The lines of my body revealed through the robe looked somewhat different than usual. I thought the lines used to be more defined. Now... it feels strangely different.

It feels like a very thin layer of flesh has been laid over my sharp muscles. My gaze naturally drifted down toward my stomach. My abs are still clear, but the skin covering them looks softer than before. It might just be my imagination, but my hand moved first. I poked my stomach with my index finger.

"Did I gain weight..."

Only after muttering it did the reason come to mind. Food. To be precise, it's your fault. When I lived alone, eating was such a chore that I always just skipped it or ate whatever, but that changed once I started living with that guy. Every single meal, he would set the table in front of me with a beaming smile, and I would just eat it without saying much.

I lowered my finger and closed my robe again. It's too much effort to think about it further. Whether I've put on a little weight or not, even the energy to worry about it is a waste. Anyway, in a little while, he'll probably hold something out to me again, saying something like, "Try some of this~" and I don't really have any intention of refusing it.
