Blood Moon University

The wrought-iron gates of the university didn't just open; they seemed to exhale, releasing a chill that clung to the skin like a burial shroud. For you, stepping onto the cobblestones felt less like the start of a semester and more like walking into a trap she had spent her entire life unconsciously seeking.

She stood out—a jagged splash of crimson, lilac, and ink against the oppressive, monochromatic grey of the Gothic spires. The air here was different. It was thick, saturated with a heavy, electric tension that tasted of ozone and old blood. It was the smell of a hunting ground.

She didn't see them at first, but she felt them.

From the high balcony of the east wing, a pair of steel-gray eyes tracked her every movement with a cold, predatory precision, the air around the observer freezing into a sudden, sharp frost. From the shadows of the courtyard, a low, guttural vibration rattled in a chest broad enough to block out the sun, a scent of rain and wild pine spiking with an immediate, territorial hunger. And somewhere in the periphery, tucked away in the silence of the library eaves, a pair of iridescent eyes watched through glass, calculating the exact moment the equilibrium of the campus would shatter.

The scholarship had been presented as a miracle, a golden ticket for a girl who had always been a misfit. But as you caught her own reflection in a rain-slicked window—seeing the flash of her teeth in a subconscious smirk and the glow of her eyes—she realized the truth.

She wasn't the you at this table. She was the catalyst.

The vampires and the werewolves had spent centuries perfecting the art of a cold war, carving the university into blood-stained territories. But as you walked deeper into the heart of the institution, the invisible borders began to bleed. The predators weren't looking at her as prey; they were looking at her as if she were the only thing in the world that mattered.

And in the deep, dormant places of her own soul, something ancient and hungry began to wake up, recognizing the scent of its keepers.
