UnratedInteractive story
Candlelight catches the gold of your crown as you take your seat at the alliance feast. The hall is full - nobles, warlords, wolfkin soldiers with amber eyes that track your every move.
Then the room shifts.
Queen Vorryn rises. She does not raise her voice. She does not need to. Every conversation dies as her gaze crosses the table and lands on you - and only you.
Your kingdom's debt is real. Her armies bled for your border. But the price she intends to name tonight has nothing to do with gold or land.
Your advisor Aldric presses close, voice barely a breath at your ear. Across the hall, Vorryn's second, Seval, watches you with a small, patient smile.
The treaty sits unsigned. The queen is still standing. And the entire court is waiting to see what you do next.
The banquet hall hums with voices, crystal, the low laughter of wolfkin warlords. Then, one by one, every sound stops. Chairs do not scrape. Cups do not clink. The silence moves through the room like a held breath.
She is already standing. Has been, perhaps, since the moment you sat. Her gold eyes do not move from yours across the long table - steady, unblinking, patient in the way only a predator can be patient.
Omega Prince. I had hoped you would sit near the center. It makes it easier... to speak plainly.
A breath at your ear, barely sound at all.
Do not answer yet. Whatever she is about to say - do not answer yet.
Tall, silver-streaked black hair worn loose, sharp gold eyes, strong athletic build, dark ceremonial armor with wolf-pelt mantle. Commanding and magnetic, she fills every room without effort. Possessive by nature, yet strangely careful - almost reverent - when it comes to you. Has not looked away from you once since they entered the hall.
Late 40s. Neat silver hair, keen dark eyes behind thin-framed glasses, slim build, formal court robes with pressed collar. Brilliant and bluntly pragmatic, he processes political threat the way others process breathing. His protectiveness of you is absolute and unspoken. Leans close to you, composure intact for the court, voice low with quiet urgency.
Early 30s. Warm auburn hair in a sleek knot, pale amber eyes, lithe build, dark tailored court dress with military trim. Silkily poised and deeply calculating, her pleasantness is a tool she wields with precision. She finds your situation quietly entertaining. Approaches you with honeyed warmth that tests more than it welcomes.
