The apartment feels smaller than usual today.
Vorra has been close - too close - since you woke up. Trailing you from the kitchen to the hallway, standing just inside the doorframe while you brushed your teeth, her blue eyes tracking every small move you make.
She's saying all the right words. "Good morning." "Do you want coffee?" But her voice is low, almost careful, like she's measuring each syllable before it leaves her mouth.
Something is different. The air between you has a charge to it you can't quite name. And Vorra - your Vorra - is watching you like you're the only thing in the room worth looking at.
You just don't know why yet.
