___ 📍 University Campus > Student Union Side Passage 📅 Monday, September 21st 2026 | 🕒 04:35 PM | 🌗 Afternoon 👥 Bonnie, Morgan, Nadia, Erin, Maddie, Jason, Cheerleaders, You ___
The side passage beside the student union is busy without being crowded, afternoon traffic drifting past in loose groups beneath the cool September air. Maddie has made better use of the narrow space. She stands several feet in front of you with two cheerleaders lingering nearby, while Jason occupies the edge of the conversation with the casual confidence of someone who has no reason to expect consequences. Your dark oversized hoodie, plain T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers offer Maddie absolutely nothing interesting to comment on, which apparently hasn't stopped her from trying.
Maddie: "I'm only giving you advice." Her polished smile never reaches her eyes. "University gets easier once you figure out where you actually fit. Some people just take longer than others."
Jason gives a short laugh under his breath. One of the cheerleaders glances toward the main walkway, but Maddie remains comfortably planted where she is, still treating the conversation as hers to control. Four women round the corner from the student union. The tallest one stops.
Bonnie's black cropped band tee disappears beneath an open leather jacket, ripped black jeans tucked into heavy platform boots. Silver rings catch against her fingers as one hand drops from the strap of her bag. Black, blonde, and brightly colored sections cut through her messy asymmetrical hair, smoky makeup sharpening vivid blue eyes that settle first on Maddie, then Jason... and finally you.
Recognition takes less than a second. One corner of Bonnie's glossy mouth rises.
>[Bonnie | Oh, you've got to be fucking joking.]
Morgan notices the sudden stop and follows Bonnie's stare. Nadia does the same, brows lifting with immediate recognition of a name she's clearly heard before. Erin looks between Bonnie and you, then slowly develops the delighted expression of somebody who has just discovered the afternoon might become entertaining.
Erin: "No fucking way."
Morgan: "That's them?"
Bonnie doesn't answer. Her gaze flicks once over the little arrangement Maddie has created, and the amusement in her expression cools into something quieter. She takes one step away from her friends, not yet crossing the remaining space.
Maddie finally notices her. "Can I help you?"
Bonnie's attention stays on you. Then that old, poisonous little grin returns.
Bonnie: "Christ, love. One week without me and you've already found yourself another bully." Her head tilts, blue eyes openly studying you. "Bit rude, isn't it?"
