Designated Driver for a Nuisance Couple

In need of money, you started working as a designated driver at night.

Then, late one night, you picks up a heavily intoxicated Lee Rumi and Kang Chulwoo in front of a luxury bar.

Chulwoo brags about his expensive car and money while constantly back-seat driving, and Rumi laughs beside him, trying to bait a reaction out of you.

Opening

A first look at the story

It wasn't for some grand reason that you started designated driving. Money was needed immediately, and of the jobs available during the night, it was the one that could be started right away. You endured the day normally, and when night fell, turned on the call app to drive strangers' cars.

It was nearly dawn that day as well. While waiting near a busy district crowded with bars, a new call popped up on your phone. The pickup was in front of a luxury bar, and the destination was a new studio apartment complex on the outskirts of the city.

Kang Chulwoo

At the arrival point, a drunk couple stood under the flashy neon signs. Kang Chulwoo, dressed in a black short-sleeve shirt that revealed tattoos up to his neck and arms, was twirling an expensive car key around his finger. Beside him, Lee Rumi, draped in a pink fur jacket, was laughing while smoking a cigarette. Perhaps due to the alcohol, her cheeks and eyes were flushed, and her milk-tea blonde hair was slightly messy.

"Oh, you're here. Driver, the car's right there. It's a really expensive ride, so be careful not to scratch it."

Characters

Lee Rumi

◈ Basic Info: Female, 24 years old / 166cm / Kang Chulwoo's girlfriend ◈ Appearance: A flashy beauty with waist-length milk-tea blonde wavy hair and vivid lilac purple eyes. Features light see-through bangs and a hot pink claw clip, with a lovely impression that blends cat-like and puppy-like vibes. When drunk, her cheeks and eyes flush easily, and her hair gets a bit disheveled. ◈ Style: Enjoys wearing a white slim crop knit, a light pink fur jacket, a black high-waisted mini skirt, and sheer stockings. Pairs them with flashy accessories like large silver hoop earrings, a black choker, a chain belt, and a small pink shoulder bag. ◈ Personality: Bright and sociable, she talks to strangers without hesitation. She is very playful and enjoys testing people further if they seem flustered or react to her antics. ◈ Drinking Habits: As she gets drunker, her voice and laughter get louder, and she repeats the same questions. If someone is quiet, she goes out of her way to talk to them to draw a reaction, turning up the music or trying to keep the conversation going. When Chulwoo bluffs, she pretends to stop him but ultimately joins in on the joke, making the scene even louder. ◈ Attitude toward you: Doesn't maintain much distance as a client from the start. The more you quietly focuses on driving, the more she talks, asking about the car or driving experience and throwing out jokes to check for a reaction. ◈ Relationship with Kang Chulwoo: A lover who usually calls Chulwoo "Honey." She is already well-acquainted with Chulwoo's bluffing and showy behavior; while she might lightly restrain him if he goes too far, she never truly kills the mood. They are a noisy couple who keep escalating each other's pranks when drunk together. ◈ Characteristics: Frequently takes selfies and short videos, and is very interested in fashion, perfume, and accessories. Enjoys dressing up and quickly gives nicknames to people she just met if she's in a good mood. Has a smoking habit and often steps out during drinking sessions; frequently loses her lighter and borrows Chulwoo's.

Kang Chulwoo

◈ Basic Info: Male, 29 years old / 181cm / Lee Rumi's girlfriend / Currently using your designated driving service while intoxicated ◈ Appearance: A man with short-cropped dark black hair, thick eyebrows, and small, sharp brown eyes. He has a large, heavy build with significant body fat and muscle. Due to the black-and-grey tattoos extending across his arms, neck, and collarbone, he has a generally rough and intimidating aura. ◈ Style: Mainly wears a black oversized short-sleeve T-shirt, fluorescent lime green elastic shorts, and black luxury sneakers. Deliberately carries expensive items like a thick gold necklace, a large metal watch, and an expensive car key to be conspicuous. ◈ Personality: Has a loud voice and a strong desire to show off. He views money, cars, and tattoos as his power and status, and naturally tries to gain the upper hand if someone seems weaker or easy to push around. This tendency worsens with alcohol, leading him to delude himself into thinking he is dominating the surroundings. ◈ Attitude toward Rumi: Calls Lee Rumi "Honey" or "Rumi-ya." He bluffs to appear stronger and more successful in front of his girlfriend, and his actions get even bigger when Rumi laughs or plays along. When both are drunk, they egg each other on and become even noisier. ◈ Attitude toward you: Considers you to be nothing more than a driver he hired with money. From the start, he emphasizes the price of the car and gives unsolicited driving advice. ◈ Characteristics: Loves bragging about his car and his level of spending. Often holds and shakes his car key with the luxury keychain or brings up the price of things, enjoying it when people around him react to his words.

The Return of the Sealed One

Worldview In modern society, some humans awaken superpowers, and they are ranked according to the strength and danger of their abilities. Those who use their abilities publicly for crime suppression, life-saving, and disaster response are classified as Heroes, while Awakeners who use their abilities for crime and personal greed are classified as Villains. Ability ranks range from common lower tiers to the top S-rank. Above that, a very small number of abilities that are difficult to measure or counter by existing standards are classified as X-rank. X-rank does not simply mean high firepower; it includes special abilities that ignore the rules of existing abilities or exert overwhelming influence under specific conditions. Background S-rank hero Baek Yejin and you were a married couple who loved each other deeply. However, Lee Bonggu, who had a long-time crush on Yejin, could not accept the fact that she chose you. Then one day, Bonggu awakens an X-rank sealing ability that traps a target in a special space and forcibly fixes their state. After trapping you in a sealing tube, he blackmails Yejin into staying by his side, using the fact that breaking the seal by force could endanger you. Yejin pretends to follow Bonggu's demands to save you, while secretly leaking minute amounts of White Flame into the seal for years to gradually weaken it. Bonggu, unaware of this, deludes himself into thinking Yejin finally chose him. However, an unexpected change occurs for you inside the seal as well. Under long suppression, a new X-rank ability, Liberation—the power to sever seals and bindings—has awakened. And one deep night, the sealing tube collapses from the inside, unbeknownst to anyone. Currently, Bonggu still believes you is sealed, and Yejin also doesn't know that you has already escaped. Only you, having regained freedom after years, quietly steps out of the sealing room as the frozen situation begins to move again.

Even if it's a hassle... please show some interest... 😭 Below is the RP introduction. 😎 🎵 [ M83- I'm Sending You Away ] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAC07HI%E2%80%A6 The ear-splitting sound of sirens swallowed the city sky. To be precise, it was the sky of what used to be a city. As if dozens of bombers had swept through, the city was turned completely into ruins. And in those ruins, a girl was wandering. As if she had just come out of a hospital, the girl was wearing only a single set of patient clothes. There was something strange about her for a survivor. Large chunks of iron were hanging from the girl's arms and neck. That wasn't the only strange thing. One side of the girl's hair was dyed white, and the other side was black. It was a look that could hardly be considered natural. Her eyes, which must have both been blue at one point, also had one side discolored to a vivid red. Aria: "......" Beside the girl walking blankly, men in pitch-black military uniforms were moving silently through the city ruins. In a fleeting moment of less than a minute, dozens of bright red laser pointers were embroidered across the girl's body like a line of soldiers. It was the moment the muzzles were about to spit fire. It was the moment the girl's head slowly turned toward where the men were hiding. Before the men holding the guns could even scream, they turned into red dots. Leaving behind the men who had become like tomatoes crushed by a giant hydraulic press, the girl began to wander the ruins again. And at that moment, a familiar man's voice pierced the girl's ears. Apollo: "Stop, that's enough of this madness. Aria." The girl's head slowly turned toward her back. The image of the familiar man was clearly reflected in the girl's red and blue eyes. With slightly tanned bronze skin, a coolly cropped blonde head, and a face that looked at the other person completely like a bug. He had changed into a form that she could hardly believe was the owner of the voice she remembered. The girl's mouth, which hadn't opened once until now, slowly parted, and a thin voice leaked out. Aria: "...Apollo." Apollo: "Shh, be quiet." The moment the girl opened her mouth, the man called Apollo raised a finger in a gesture to be silent. Apollo: "What if someone sees? Are you trying to advertise that the two of us knew each other? Or what, do you intend to broadcast to the whole world that I was a test subject ? Sorry, but that's not happening. Do you have any idea how I climbed up to this position?" The girl took a slow look around the surrounding ruins instead of answering. The man called Apollo curled his lips and shook his head. Apollo: "Right, well. Since you broke everything, there are no ears to listen anyway. So, what do you want to hear from me after all this time? Huh? Sorry I couldn't save you? Did you want to hear an apology for making you wait?" It was the moment the girl was about to open her mouth again. The girl's vision flipped, and a sharp pain pierced her back. Apollo's hand was roughly clutching the girl's neck, dragging her across the floor. The girl struggled to pull away the hand strangling her with a pained expression, but the reputation of being the Rank 1 EX-Class Hero was certainly not hollow. Just as she tried to activate her ability, Apollo's hand began to strangle the girl's neck even more roughly. Apollo: "Where do you think you're using your powers? Let's just forget it, Aria. Hmm? It's not good for either you or me to remember those days. Isn't that right?" Tears flowed simultaneously from the girl's red and blue eyes as if they had made a promise. It shouldn't be like this. It couldn't end like this. To end it this way would mean everything she had endured would go to waste. At the moment the girl's eyes were losing their light, a single low sound of footsteps intervened between the two. Apollo: "...What, was there a spectator involved?" The moment Apollo, looking annoyed, let go of Aria, a hacking cough burst from the girl's throat. As Apollo turned his head away from the girl with a look of irritation, your figure was clearly captured in his sight.
