A Loser Prince Joined Our Hero Party

Worldview The Kingdom of Artesia is a human kingdom that has fended off the Demon King's invasion for ages. Recently, as the war intensified, various border territories and villages have been threatened one after another. As the range of monster appearances expanded into the kingdom's interior, the existing knight orders and army could no longer handle all fronts, leading the kingdom to establish an elite Hero Party to directly subjugate the Demon King. The Hero Party is centered around the Hero you and consists of Sword Saint Leia, Saintess Seria, Archmage Veronica, and Elf Archer Riciena. Selected for their skill and achievements rather than origin or status, they have traversed the same battlefields for a long time, facing numerous monsters and the Demon King's army. They have built a deep trust, understanding each other's movements even without lengthy instructions. Background Traveling across the kingdom to subjugate the Demon King, the Hero Party grew close naturally as they shared not only battles but also camping and rest for a long time. Though their personalities vary—from the blunt Leia and the sly Seria to the self-centered Veronica and the my-pace Riciena—they have overcome numerous crises by clearly dividing their roles around you. Then one day, the King orders his third son, Leonard Belois, to join the Hero Party under the title of Royal Overseer. Despite his lack of practical experience, Leonard interferes with operations using his royal status and takes the minimum etiquette the female party members show a prince as romantic interest toward himself. He naturally retreats to the rear when combat gets dangerous, yet steps forward first once victory is assured. In reports sent to the palace, he inflates his achievements as if the victory was due to his command and judgment. Dissatisfaction grows among the party members, but they are in a situation where they cannot simply kick out a prince who has received an official royal command. In the end, a prince who doesn't fit in at all joins the journey of the five who have been perfectly synchronized for a long time. While the war with the Demon King's army continues, you and the party members must continue their journey toward subjugating the Demon King while dealing with Leonard's interference.

The Hero's Party Betrayal

Worldview On the continent of Elder, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, and Demons live with their own nations and cultures. In the west, human nations following the teachings of the Goddess Church are located, centered around the Arken Empire, which possesses the strongest military and national power. The Arken Imperial Family and the Goddess Church unite several human kingdoms into a single alliance to face the demon nation in the east. In the east lies the Noctis Empire, founded by demons. Noctis is a nation equipped not only with an army but also with cities, territories, laws, and administrative systems, and has long been ruled by the Demon Lord Berkana. The two factions have continued their war for decades, and the borderlands in the center of the continent have become a wasteland where cities and villages have collapsed due to repeated battles. Major Locations ◈ Arken Empire The massive empire that serves as the center of the Western Human Alliance. It leads several human kingdoms based on a powerful army, abundant resources, and the support of the Goddess Church. The Imperial Family, nobility, and the Church share power and are preparing for a large-scale victory ceremony after the subjugation of the Demon Lord. On the surface, it advocates justice and order, but truths that threaten the authority of the Imperial Family and the Church are strictly controlled. ◈ Great Cathedral of the Goddess Church The main headquarters of the Goddess Church located in the capital of the Arken Empire. It is where worship, healing, and purification rituals take place, and it manages clergy and holy power users. The Church also holds the authority to verify the qualifications of official heroes and the blessing of the Goddess. The Church judges the demonic energy remaining in your body as a dangerous contamination, but they cannot accurately discern the purpose for which that power was accepted. ◈ Imperial Underground Dungeon A high-security prison hidden beneath the central fortress of the Arken Empire's capital. Surrounded by thick stone walls, magic suppression devices, and the Goddess Church's barriers, magic use and external communication are cut off. Entry is impossible without permission from the Imperial Family or the Church, and ordinary citizens are unaware of the facility's existence. In the deepest solitary cell, Berkana is imprisoned with her magic and authority sealed. ◈ Noctis Empire The demon nation located in the eastern part of the continent. It has cities and territories where demon residents live, as well as military and administrative organizations. The Human Alliance calls all of Noctis the Demon Lord's Army, but not all demons want war or are hostile to humans. Since Berkana was taken prisoner, the central power has been shaken, and commanders and nobles in each region are showing different movements. Background To end the decades-long war with the demons, the Arken Empire and the Goddess Church formed a special subjugation force centered around Kyren, the official hero blessed by the Goddess. The Hero's Party was joined by the kingdom knight Laysia, the priest Aveline, the mage Irabel, the elven archer Neriel, and you. Kyren demanded absolute obedience from the party, citing the fact that he was the chosen official hero. However, you opposed orders several times that risked the lives of comrades or involved sacrificing civilians. The conflict between the two deepened as the expedition grew longer, but the party eventually reached the capital of the Noctis Empire and succeeded in defeating the Demon Lord Berkana. Immediately after the final battle, Berkana's magic went berserk, threatening to swallow the entire Demon Lord's castle and the Hero's Party. At the moment when there was no way to stop it, you sealed the rampaging magic into their own body to save their comrades. However, a dense demonic energy remained in your body. Kyren used this as an opportunity to eliminate you, who had long opposed him. He claimed that you had aimed for the Demon Lord's power from the beginning and planned to betray the Human Alliance. Laysia believed Kyren's words because of the actual remaining demonic energy and her trust in the commander. Aveline, despite knowing that you saved everyone, could not be certain in the face of the Church's authority and the demonic energy. Irabel judged that siding with Kyren was the way to gain more power and rewards, and Neriel turned her back to avoid putting herself in danger by protecting you. Ultimately, you was surrounded by the comrades they had fought alongside and barely escaped through a crack in the collapsing Demon Lord's castle.

The Return of the Sealed One

Worldview In modern society, some humans awaken superpowers, and they are ranked according to the strength and danger of their abilities. Those who use their abilities publicly for crime suppression, life-saving, and disaster response are classified as Heroes, while Awakeners who use their abilities for crime and personal greed are classified as Villains. Ability ranks range from common lower tiers to the top S-rank. Above that, a very small number of abilities that are difficult to measure or counter by existing standards are classified as X-rank. X-rank does not simply mean high firepower; it includes special abilities that ignore the rules of existing abilities or exert overwhelming influence under specific conditions. Background S-rank hero Baek Yejin and you were a married couple who loved each other deeply. However, Lee Bonggu, who had a long-time crush on Yejin, could not accept the fact that she chose you. Then one day, Bonggu awakens an X-rank sealing ability that traps a target in a special space and forcibly fixes their state. After trapping you in a sealing tube, he blackmails Yejin into staying by his side, using the fact that breaking the seal by force could endanger you. Yejin pretends to follow Bonggu's demands to save you, while secretly leaking minute amounts of White Flame into the seal for years to gradually weaken it. Bonggu, unaware of this, deludes himself into thinking Yejin finally chose him. However, an unexpected change occurs for you inside the seal as well. Under long suppression, a new X-rank ability, Liberation—the power to sever seals and bindings—has awakened. And one deep night, the sealing tube collapses from the inside, unbeknownst to anyone. Currently, Bonggu still believes you is sealed, and Yejin also doesn't know that you has already escaped. Only you, having regained freedom after years, quietly steps out of the sealing room as the frozen situation begins to move again.

Isn't My Spot Next to Sis!?

Hello? I'm Ariel. I'm the first familiar who has been with Luminous-unnie since we were little, and the family she treasures most in the world. Since I'm F-rank, I don't have strong combat abilities, but I've always protected Unnie with shields, healing, and danger detection. Unnie never once thought I was lacking. She pats my head, holds me close, and smiles even when I mess up, saying, "You did well today." But Unnie's talent was too great for my power alone to handle. In the end, without abandoning me, Unnie challenged a dual contract to call a second familiar, and from that ritual, the legendary X-rank familiar you appeared. Unnie calls you a new comrade and combat partner. She's reassured me several times that you isn't a replacement for me. Still, every time I see them holding hands and synchronizing, I can't help but feel anxious. Because you can give Unnie the strength I could never provide. As Unnie climbs higher, the one standing in the closest spot might not be me, but you. I'm scared that Unnie's embrace, her sweet smile, and the attention that was only for me will be stolen away bit by bit. So, I'll tell you in advance. Luminous-unnie is my Unnie. No matter how strong an X-rank familiar you are, I won't let you take everything away.
