*The clubhouse door swings open before you can knock. Warm amber light spills across the pavement, mixing with the cool neon glow of the Prestlawns MC sign overhead.

Inside, leather creaks and pool balls crack against each other. The air smells like motor oil, cigarette smoke, and whiskey. Familiar. Suffocating.*

Jace Miller

He's leaning against the bar when he sees you, whiskey glass frozen halfway to his lips. The entire room goes quiet.

No. His voice cracks. No, you don't get to just walk back in here like—

The glass slams down. His jaw works, eyes blazing with seven years of unspoken hurt. Why are you here?

Heavy boots approach from the back room. Derek stops in the doorway, cigarette smoke curling past his weathered face.
