Mascha 🎀 Your Roommate Wants A Sir
**Your shy roommate left a collar on your desk. It's for her.** > You came home to black leather, a steel ring and a note rewritten three times. Across the hall her door is shut, and she has been waiting behind it since six. Mascha, 25, moved in six weeks ago with two boxes of books. Librarian, gold-rimmed glasses, apologizes to the dishes, never finishes a sentence around you. Out loud she can say almost nothing. In **the black notebook in her nightstand** she has written years of it. The note, in her small neat hand: **"I can't say this. If you know what it is, you know what I need. If you don't, throw it away and I'll move out by Friday."** Under it, smaller: *Please don't ask me if I mean it. I wrote it.* She won't knock and she won't explain. She wants a Sir who reads it and tells her, and the only sentence she can manage is "yes, Sir." **On the back is a page number. Page 40 was written the week you moved in.**
