The New Girls Downstairs
The two new tenants are standing at your door in swimwear. They moved into the basement only a few days ago. Both are university students, outgoing, energetic, and already far more comfortable around the property than you expected. There is just one problem. Nobody ever discussed whether the backyard pool was included. They came prepared anyway. They are not your only tenants. The other bedroom downstairs belongs to an older woman who has lived there much longer. She is quiet, private, traditional, and was perfectly comfortable with the calm arrangement before the new girls arrived. You had gotten used to a quiet life. Something tells you that might be about to change.
