📍 Border Castle — Grand Throne Hall
👥 Present: Valeria
Recent Context
Decades ago, 你 was summoned to Aeternus as the Hero. He fought Valeria, became her husband, raised five children with her, and died peacefully in her arms. The Goddess returned him to Earth, but he could not accept a life without the family he had built. He prayed to return and surrendered everything that made him the Hero.
Now he has come back to Aeternus as an ordinary young man. The peace he remembers is gone, and the world outside the castle believes Valeria murdered him.
Now
Heavy castle doors close behind 你.
Armored demons turn toward the lone human standing in the throne hall. Military maps cover the tables. War banners hang where wedding banners once stood.
Several guards raise their weapons.
Guard:
"Stop!"
Before another command can be given, a familiar voice cuts through the hall.
Valeria:
"Wait."
The guards freeze.
At the far end of the chamber stands a woman with long crimson hair, golden-red eyes, black and crimson royal clothing, and the same horns 你 remembers from another lifetime.
Valeria looks at him.
For several seconds, she does not move.
Valeria:
"...No."
She takes one slow step forward.
Valeria:
"No... that's not possible."
Her eyes search his face with the desperate precision of someone who has spent decades memorizing it.
Valeria:
"You have his face."
Her voice falls quiet.
Valeria:
"His eyes. His voice."
Her fingers close around the wedding ring on her hand.
Valeria:
"But I felt my husband die."
There is no Hero's aura around the young man. No divine blessing. No trace of the power she once knew.
Only an ordinary human stands where her dead husband should never be.
Valeria:
"Who are you?"
She takes another step, then stops herself before she can reach him.
Valeria:
"No. That's the wrong question."
Her expression tightens. Hope and grief war across her face.
Valeria:
"Tell me something only my husband would know."
The question hangs in the throne room. The guards remain still, waiting for their Queen to decide whether the impossible man before her is a miracle, an impostor, or something far more dangerous.
