THE HORROR OF ATTIC

The Backyard

Today’s story is about two children who used to live with their grandmother. The amazing story in which we will come across the situations in which both siblings faces a terrifying events . Siblings, little Ria (5) and her older brother, Rohan (10), lived with their grandmother in an old, creaky house on the outskirts of town. The house had been in their family for generations, and the kids loved exploring its nooks and crannies.

The Key To The Door

As it was the old town where there was no such population found. They had a big backyard full of trees where they played all day during their vacations and after school as well. But there was one place where their grandmother always asked them not to go as it was far from their house as it was a big ground. Maybe she knows something she doesn’t want her grandchildren to know. One day, they decided to play hide and seek while playing in the backyard, when it was Ria’s turn to hide she found no better  place to hide so she thought of going to that bid tree where her granny asked not to go.

While hiding there Ria stumbled upon an old, rusty key hidden among the bushes, when she found the key she forgot about the game they were playing and she went and showed it to Rohan, and they wondered what it could unlock. They tried their room first, they searched each and every possible place in their room so that they could find any clue. After a long day’s search they decided to go to their granny’s room when she was not there. It took them three long days to find the door to the key. Some places in the house were restricted because the house was old enough so there was danger that the roof in that area could fall off. After  searching the whole house, they discovered that the key fit perfectly into a small lock on the attic door.

The dark Discovery

After finding the door they were so excited that they were not able to sleep the whole night. Looking at them grandmother thought “ you both have again thought of some naughty plan i guess, but make sure that no one among you both should get into any trouble. And do you remember what I told you that”.

“Yes ! yes! Grandma, we both remember that we don’t have to go near the boundaries where that big tree is.” After having a conversation with their granny they didn’t realize when they fell asleep. The next day when they came back from school they found that their grandmother was not at home. It was the time they were waiting for. They went into their room, looked for the key and stepped forward to the door in the attic.

As they crept up the creaky stairs, the air grew thick with dust and the scent of decay. The attic was dimly lit, with cobwebs clinging to the old trunks and forgotten heirlooms. Ria and Rohan began to explore, their flashlights casting eerie shadows on the walls. The scene in that room was too horrifying

Suddenly, Ria whispered, “Rohan, look!” She pointed to an old, antique doll with glassy eyes staring back at them. Rohan felt a chill run down his spine as he picked up the doll. It felt heavy, as if it was made of something other than porcelain.

The Descent into Fear

As they continued to explore, strange things began to happen. The doll would change positions, and the kids would hear faint whispers in their ears. Ria became convinced that the doll was alive, and Rohan started to feel a creeping sense of dread. They both ran out of the attic, locked it and went downstairs in horror. As they settled down and made clams to each other their granny reached home. After seeing her they both ran towards her and stood clam hugging her for a while. Grandma said “what happened to both of you, are you ok”. Just to keep their secret of the attic room that lied to their grandma.

“We got scared as we didn’t see you when we came home, there was a scary sound coming from upstairs. where were you grandma?”

Grandma hugged them and made them comfortable and then they all did their daily chores as always.

Both Ria and Rohan never thought to go there again for a few days.

The Horror Unfolds

One night, as they lay in bed, they heard footsteps coming from the attic. It sounded like someone – or something – was moving around up there. The kids exchanged terrified glances. Covered their faces with blankets and that night they slept with the horror of something in their house.

Next morning while going to school Rohansaid to Ria, “Ria we have to go and check the room to see what sound was there.”

Ria was so terrified that she refused Rohan to go there, “ No! No! I will not go back in that room it was very scary there”

It was not easy for Rohan to get Ria to go into the attic, but Rohan did so.

As they crept back up to the attic, they saw the doll sitting on an old trunk, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. Suddenly, the doll’s mouth opened, revealing sharp, pointed teeth. Ria screamed as the doll began to speak in a voice that sent shivers down their spines.

“You should not have come here,” it hissed.

The kids tried to run, but the attic door slammed shut, trapping them. The doll began to laugh, its voice echoing through the attic as the darkness closed in around them.

The next morning, their grandmother went into their room to wake them up for school. She found both the kids missing from the bed. She thought maybe Rai and Rohan were pranking her. Suddenly she found the attic door open, she went inside to look for kids but the kids were gone. She searched the house frantically, but there was no sign of Ria and Rohan. The only clue was the antique doll, sitting on the trunk, its glassy eyes staring back at her. Their grandmother went into depression from the time both the kids went missing, and in this sad situation she passed away getting severely sick.

Some say that on certain nights, you can still hear the kids’ screams echoing from the attic, and the doll’s maniacal laughter follows. Others claim to have seen the ghostly figures of Ria and Rohan, forever trapped in the attic, tormented by the malevolent doll.

The old house remains standing, a testament to the horrors that lurk in the shadows, waiting to claim their next victims.
