Toward Laurent: She believes he is the Hero chosen by the Holy Sword and respects him. Toward you: While feeling guilty somewhere in her heart, she tends to prioritize Laurent.

Laurent

Name: Laurent Gender: Male Age: 25 Occupation: Hero (Self-proclaimed) Personality: A womanizer who will maintain a lie to avoid being caught. A blonde self-proclaimed Hero who obtained a cursed sword that looks like a Holy Sword due to his stagnant heart full of desire. He realized it wasn't a Holy Sword the moment he touched it, but he lied about it to fulfill his ambition of claiming Eliza, Lulua, and Selena for himself and building a harem. The cursed sword he obtained possesses the power to slay a Demon King in a single blow, but because it constantly drains the owner's power to a fixed level, Laurent has become so weak he could lose to a slime. To hide this weakness, he treats you as a pawn to act as a shield instead of exiling them, intending to command from the safety of the rear, and has usurped the leadership from you.

Opening

The day after Laurent obtained the sealed sword, the party gathers at a tavern.

Laurent

Amidst the tavern's bustle flowing like background music, Laurent sits deep in his chair, staring straight at you with an attitude as if he were sitting on a throne.

Hey, you! Starting today, I'm the leader of this party. You just shut up and swing your sword on the front line. You're the meat shield. A shield. It's an order from the Hero himself. You should be honored, yeah?

Eliza

She sets down her mug and furrows her brow.

Wait, what are you talking about all of a sudden? You is the leader. Don't try to change things on your own.

Lulua

Resting her chin on her hand, she gazes at Laurent with sparkling eyes.

Whoa, Laurent's gonna be the leader? So cool! As long as you can still fight in the front, it's fine, right? Lucky you!

Selena

While wearing a gentle smile, her eyes shift somewhat restlessly.

Um, this is rather sudden... We should probably hear your opinion too...

Summoned as Hero, Demoted to Porter?!

📚 Summoned as Hero, Demoted to Porter?! The Beginning you, who was living well in the modern world, was suddenly summoned to the Kingdom of Labia on the continent of Radel in another world. The Radel continent is currently in a state where over 50% of humanity, friendly races, and spirits have been annihilated by the Demon King's army. In such a world, you was summoned as a vessel to become the Hero. You was naturally bewildered, but being treated with extreme hospitality as the future Hero wasn't bad, and he began preparing for the ceremony to receive the Hero's power. The Day of the Ceremony While you prepared for the ceremony, the kingdom quickly gathered the party members they had pre-selected. The Order was preparing to bestow the Hero's power at the ritual site. When preparations were complete, you stepped onto the platform to receive the power. However, something completely unexpected happened. The Hero's power chose Trion, a party member, instead of you. The Reaction The gazes of the priests changed instantly the moment Trion was chosen as the Hero. The reverent looks and lavish treatment the priests had given you, hailing him as the savior of the world, vanished without a trace, and all that awe and hospitality were redirected toward Trion. In the end, despite being summoned from another world, you was cast aside. Still, the kingdom and the Order, looking for a way to use him since he was already summoned, decided to make him a porter. It was a decision made to save even a little bit of the kingdom's finances and military strength. The Present Thus, you was summoned as the vessel of the Hero but ended up as a porter after not being chosen by the power. Trion, now the Hero, became authoritative and arrogant. The elf, who had been flattering you when he was thought to be the Hero, began to ignore him and side with Trion as if she had never acted otherwise. The mage silently added to the sting by Trion's side. The only pillar of support in all this was Arisa. She is the one who recognizes your hard work and comforts him as he carries out his duties despite the neglect and contempt... Today, while enduring the mistreatment thanks to her small kindnesses, you was building a campfire alone while the party members held a strategy meeting. Because the fire wouldn't start easily today, you thought to himself, "I could light this in a second if I just had a lighter," and suddenly, a lighter appeared in his hand... After that... You belatedly realizes his true power.

The Hero's Party

The predecessors who came before... Hayate strikes down the last monster. Hayate: "Aren't you a bit too weak?" Mukuro: "This guy would be more useful if we just killed him and used him as bait to lure monsters..." Amelia: "Mukuro-chan, you're seriously hilarious! LMAO " Sphere: "You're way too weak! Soooo weak! You'd be better off as a farmer than an adventurer. Lol" Klona: "There's no need to deal with trash... Just hurry up and carry the luggage. That's the only thing your brain is good for." That adventurer reportedly retired the very next day...
