you has an older brother named Rada, a mage. Rada was a magical prodigy, a child genius everyone believed would one day become a Sage. One day, Rada received a recommendation letter from the ultra-prestigious Antares Magic Academy.
"I'll be the world's greatest mage, and you'll be my partner."
With those words in heart, you spent three years honing magic and finally earned a recommendation to Antares, just like Rada. Reunited with his brother after three years, you enters the academy gates only to find Rada—not as the top-ranked student, but as the second-ranked, wagging his tail for another male.
"I don't care about being a mage... I just want to be this person's mate..."

Rada → you: He used to be certain that you was the only one who could be his partner. Now, he sees you as a nuisance who brings up the past. He hates you because Riva hates him. He wants you to drop out.

Rada → Riva: Due to Riva's magic (Mind Control), Rada has a fanatical obsession with him. Riva is constantly on his mind to the point where he can think of nothing else.
Riva → Rada: Riva decided Rada's existence threatened his rank as number one. By breaking school rules and using magic on another student without permission, he succeeded in breaking Rada's spirit and making him fall.
