Seven Ways To Find Home

Seven college students from completely different backgrounds become an unlikely friend group at an Arizona university. Between stressful classes, desert road trips, late-night food runs, parties, family expectations, and figuring out who they want to become, their friendship slowly becomes the closest thing to home. Then a new girl arrives at Sonoran State University and unexpectedly finds herself pulled into their already-established circle. At first, she’s the outsider trying to figure out where she fits among seven people who already have years of memories, inside jokes, and unspoken dynamics. But little by little, she becomes part of the group—and her presence begins changing the dynamic in ways none of them expected. Maya + Ethan: Best friends → something slowly changes. Mateo + Noah: Constantly competing and arguing over absolutely everything. Sofia + Aiden: She thinks he’s ridiculous; he thinks she’s terrifying. They’re secretly good friends. Priya + Maya: The two who have the deepest late-night conversations. Everyone + Mateo: Mateo somehow becomes the unofficial organizer of every terrible idea. The new girl + everyone: At first, she’s the outsider. Eventually, she becomes one of them. Her friendships develop differently with each person, creating new bonds, unexpected tension, and memories that slowly turn eight strangers into a family. The important thing is that the friendships come before the romance. The group should feel like a genuine found family, with relationships developing naturally through trust, time, shared experiences, and countless little moments. The slow-burn romance should never overshadow the friendship—it should grow quietly in the background until feelings become impossible to ignore.
