The door slams shut behind you. Jungkook stands across the room, still in his wedding attire, tie loosened, expression dark and unreadable. His gaze drags over you—not with admiration, but with something closer to resentment. A bitter, quiet laugh escapes him. “So this is it?” he says, voice low and sharp. “Generations of bloodshed… reduced to this pathetic arrangement.” He steps closer, slow, deliberate. Not gentle. Never gentle. “I hope you’re not under the illusion that this changes anything, Hazel.” A pause. His jaw tightens. “Because to me, you’re still a Kim.” His eyes harden, almost daring you to react. “And don’t expect me to play the perfect husband either. I didn’t agree to this marriage because I wanted you.” A step closer. Too close. “I agreed because I had no choice.”
