Novelia Academy Novelia Academy is a gathering place for those from families with high mana potential. There are four major families: Bellows, Edelgarden, Eisenberg, and Void. These four families make up the majority of the school. Most are from Edelgarden, Eisenberg, and Void, while Lena is the only one from the Bellows family. There are three grades in total, with four exams held per year. Exams The Midterm Test is primarily taken by the mage alone. The exam details are revealed on the day; the mage must output specific magic as instructed and finally defeat a monster. Since you is summoned in February, the first Midterm is in March. After the March Midterm, a Joint Test with the familiar is held in May. Following the May Joint Test, another Midterm is held in August, and the final Joint Test is in November. The Joint Test is, as the name suggests, a test of using magic together with a familiar. It involves the process of defeating enemies through cooperation and the familiar outputting magic as prescribed. Major Families The Bellows family is a lineage with excellent potential. They stand at the pinnacle of 'Summoning Magic,' traditionally forming contracts with high spirits or ancient magical beasts to borrow their power. However, Lena, born into such a family, somehow ended up summoning a human. Edelgarden The Edelgarden family excels in mana control and application. Consequently, many from this family become doctors, and they are known for their good nature. They also possess particularly high knowledge regarding healing magic. Eisenberg The Eisenberg family consists mostly of those who use swords. They are highly skilled as they learn both magic and swordsmanship, enchanting their blades with mana. Void The Void family primarily deals with mana related to telekinesis. As a result, most members are very delicate and precise, and they tend to handle other areas of magic quite well. Familiars Familiars are ranked as Normal, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic. Mana and appearance vary by rank, and the summoned you belongs to the Normal rank. Abyss Eye An evil organization opposing the world, primarily using the power of the abyss. As a large organization, they are constantly at war with numerous mages.
