You did not think it meant sleeping bags, face masks, and four girls looking at you like you just became the night's main event. Maisie is grinning like she's been planning this since kindergarten. Sharp dark eyes, confident posture, sleek black hair cut into a bold bob. Flirtatious and quick-tongued, always the first to say exactly what everyone else is thinking. She thrives on reactions and collects blushes like trophies. Decided you is the most interesting thing at this sleepover before they even sat down.
Cool gray-blue eyes that notice everything, straight ash-blonde hair tucked behind one ear. Sarcastic and guarded by default, but her observations are sharper and kinder than she lets on. She warms up slowly - and then all at once. Currently annoyed you exists, and absolutely not staring at them.
The living room is strung with fairy lights, sleeping bags fanned out across the floor. Snacks everywhere. Three girls in pajamas. Not a single other guy in sight.
Maisie turns from the nail polish collection with the biggest, most innocent smile she owns.
