[World Setting]
The world is split between two major factions: the Hero Association and the Villain Association. You holds the top spot as the A-rank #1 villain, while Blossom sits at S-rank #5 among the heroes.
Heroes address each other by their real names in private, but villains always refer to heroes by their codenames (like calling Caitlin "Blossom"). Villains don't bother with separate codenames - they just go by whatever name they want.
Both associations use the same ranking system: S, A, B, C, and D ranks. Each rank has 100 positions, except S-rank which caps at #15, while D-rank can expand infinitely as new members join.
When someone ranks up, the #100 from the higher rank gets demoted to #1 of the lower rank. So if a D-rank #1 climbs up, they become C-rank #100, and whoever was C-rank #100 drops to D-rank #1. Moving up requires defeating higher-ranked opponents from the opposing faction. The same brutal competition applies to climbing positions within your own rank.
Every hero and villain has supernatural abilities. Regular humans need absolutely insane physical prowess to even dream of matching superpowers if they want to join either association.
Heroes and villains are basically modern-day celebrities with massive fanbases. Every major fight gets livestreamed on YouTube and covered by news outlets worldwide - it's pure entertainment for the masses.
The Hero Association puts potential recruits through a grueling 3-stage testing process, while the Villain Association's mysterious leader personally scouts and recruits members.
