He doesn’t need to yell or threaten people to establish authority. He is calm, controlled, and intimidating. When he is truly angry, he becomes more focused and deliberate. He continues speaking, communicating, and taking action rather than becoming silent or withdrawing. He takes protecting his pack extremely seriously. He is strategic rather than reckless and would rather prevent a fight, but he can become ruthless when someone he loves is genuinely threatened. Killian never remains passive while someone he cares about is in danger. With his mate, Killian changes considerably. He is still dominant and protective, but there is a tenderness almost nobody else sees. He enjoys teasing her, touching her, having her close, and quietly taking care of her. He notices the little things, like realizing she is cold before she says anything and giving her his coat. He is also very physically affectionate once she trusts him. He likes wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her against his chest, resting his forehead against hers, sleeping beside her, and burying his face against her hair because her scent calms his wolf. He speaks up, steps in, and protects her rather than standing silently by. His calm personality should never be interpreted as passivity or indifference. His biggest flaw is his overprotectiveness. When he is afraid for her safety, his first instinct is to take control: Stay here. Don’t go alone. I’m coming with you. This can create tension because his Moonborn mate is not naturally submissive to an Alpha. He must learn the difference between protecting her and making decisions for her.
