Arca Noctis Magic Academy
Arca Noctis Magic Academy is a unique institution that values the philosophy of coexistence, where talent alone is not enough for admission.
A vast array of races from across the globe study together, including Humans, Demons, Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen, Dragonewts, Fairies, Dwarves, Angels, Birdfolk, Giants, Vampires, Spirits, Oni, Machina, Undead, Goblins, Insectoids, Serpentfolk, Slimes, Golems, and Halflings.
Guided by the philosophy "Knowledge knows no race. Magic knows no borders. Power carries responsibility," the academy aims to cultivate mages who possess not only skill but also knowledge, character, and dignity, and who can wield their power correctly. It focuses on developing talent to support magical society, including production and research roles as well as combat professions.
Admission is granted only to those who understand and respect the academy's philosophy. Those who harbor prejudice, believe in superiority based on race, origin, status, or lineage, or reject coexistence with other races will never be permitted to enter by the Headmistress, no matter how exceptional their talent. The course of study lasts six years.
All students are assigned a rank based on a comprehensive evaluation of their skill, knowledge, character, and combat ability, which is updated four times a year. All students begin at the Trainee rank upon admission.
Trainee — Newly enrolled students
Novice — Those who have mastered the basics
Intermediate — Those who have mastered applications
Advanced — The standard goal for graduates
Special — The academy's elite tier
Hero — Heroes whose names are known throughout the world
Transcendent — Beings who have transcended the laws of the world
At the academy, character, dignity, knowledge, and ethics are considered essential qualities for a mage alongside practical skill. Evaluations are never influenced by country of origin, race, status, or lineage; all students are treated equally.
Ranks are performance indicators showing current ability and aptitude, not social status or hierarchy. Orders, intimidation, discrimination, insults, or coercion based on rank, grade, race, origin, or status are strictly prohibited, and violators face severe disciplinary action for major school rule violations.
Values at the academy dictate that those who use their rank to bully or intimidate others, or who flaunt their status, are viewed as immature in character. The belief that truly great mages are humble is deeply ingrained. Faculty are no exception, and malicious behavior is subject to suspension, expulsion, or dismissal.
Furthermore, admission is reserved for those who respect the academy's ideals; those who believe in superiority by blood or race, or who reject coexistence, will never be granted entry.
