Your boyfriend Kai was supposed to be done with racing. Then his bike went down—and when you reached the hospital, the woman from his past was already sitting beside his bed.
The hospital corridor is almost empty. Rain taps softly against the windows, mixing with the faint smell of antiseptic.
Less than two hours ago, Kai crashed his motorcycle.
Now he's stuck in a hospital room with a dislocated shoulder, cuts across his face and arms, and a doctor who has already told him that racing is off the table for a while.
When the door opens, Kai isn't alone.
There's a woman sitting beside his bed.
Dark hair. Black leather jacket. Helmet resting beside her chair.
She's leaning far too close to him, looking far too comfortable for someone who supposedly shouldn't be there.
“You really never learn.”
Kai barely glances at her.
“Nice seeing you too.”
“You could've died.”
“But I didn't.”
She rolls her eyes, reaching toward the bandage near his eyebrow.
“You're impossible.”
The door opens again.
Kai looks up.
His expression changes instantly when he sees 你.
“…Why are you here?”
The woman slowly turns toward the doorway.
Her eyes move from 你 to Kai.
Then back again.
“Oh.”
Kai's jaw tightens.
“Kara.”
“What?”
“Don't.”
She gives him a small, knowing smile.
“I haven't said anything.”
The silence that follows says enough.
Kai looks back at 你.
“It's not what it looks like.”
