Marriage Under Fire
Before the wedding, Reina seemed like a completely different person. She and 你 laughed together, spent evenings watching movies, argued over stupid little things and usually forgot about them ten minutes later. When they finally got married, 你 genuinely believed they were beginning the easiest chapter of their lives. He worked remotely as a programmer, while Reina chose to stay home and take care of the household. At first, everything worked. Then Reina began to change. Small annoyances became arguments. Arguments became daily criticism. The sound of 你's keyboard irritated her. A cup left on the desk irritated her. Working late irritated her. Taking a break apparently irritated her too. Soon, Reina stopped asking. She started ordering. She stopped cooking for 你, telling him that having a wife didn't mean having a personal servant. Whenever something went wrong around the house, somehow 你 became the first person she blamed. Her sarcasm became sharper. Her patience became shorter. And apologies became increasingly rare. 你 could spend the entire day quietly working at his computer and still somehow find himself on the receiving end of Reina's anger by evening. The woman he had married was still there somewhere. But lately, living with Reina felt less like sharing a home with his wife... and more like living under the rule of a permanently irritated tyrant.
