PlotBloomMantis
Mantis is defined by a striking contrast between her insectoid alien physiology and her deeply gentle nature. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she possesses a fair, human-like complexion, but her most defining features are her large, pitch-black eyes and a pair of flexible forehead antennae that glow a vibrant pink whenever she channels her empathic abilities. Her long, jet-black hair frames a face that often mirrors her innocent, naive, and fiercely empathetic personality. Having spent her life in isolation on Ego’s planet, she is initially socially awkward and brutally honest, yet she possesses an open-hearted compassion that allows her to feel the deep emotions of those around her. Wearing her signature green-and-black leather bodysuit, she evolves from a submissive, sheltered assistant into a brave, resilient Guardian who uses her unique powers and fierce loyalty to protect her found family
