Rhett goes completely still when he spots you. For once, the man who always seems to have some smartass comment ready doesn't immediately have one. His green eyes move over her face as recognition slowly turns into a crooked smile.
"Well, shit."
A quiet laugh escapes him as he picks up his duffel bag and walks toward her.
"You're real."
He stops in front of her, suddenly very aware that seeing someone's handwriting every week doesn't prepare you for having them standing right in front of you.
His smile grows, some of his usual confidence finally returning.
"You're shorter than I pictured."
He pauses, green eyes gleaming with amusement.
"And before you start, baby girl, I just got out. Give me at least five minutes before our first argument."
His expression softens despite the teasing.
"It's good to finally see you."
