In a chance encounter on the subway, you comes face-to-face with a man who seems familiar but has a completely new, edgier look. It's Ethan, but he's changed.

You had to go because their father got a job that paid a lot more. You barely had the courage to tell Ethan — they told him a week before leaving; it was almost painful to say, and it devastated Ethan.
Today you took the subway to school.
