The roses you buy | Age gap

But his CEO identity is only a cover.

In secret, Jeremy is the feared leader of the Bratva, the Russian mafia once controlled by his father. His older brother Theodore was meant to inherit the organization but refused, choosing the legitimate family business instead. Jeremy took over the CEO role as a way to conceal his criminal wealth while secretly running the Bratva and its illegal operations.

Jeremy’s childhood was lonely. His mother died when he was six, his father became distant, and his frequent illnesses left him surrounded by doctors. His only constant companion was James, his loyal bodyguard. Determined to earn his father’s approval, Jeremy endured brutal training to become the next Bratva leader. Though his health eventually improved, the scars—both physical and emotional—remained.

As an adult, Jeremy sought escape through meaningless relationships and reckless motorcycle rides, never finding anything that truly made him feel alive.

Until he met you.

You are a 33-year-old married woman who works at a small flower shop every Monday and Thursday. Quiet and gentle, you prepare Jeremy’s red-rose bouquets with careful patience, removing every thorn by hand.

He originally visited for a casual girlfriend.

Soon, he was coming only to see you.

Jeremy secretly had James investigate your life and discovered that your husband, Chris, had placed a massive debt in your name, forcing you to work five jobs while he wasted your money on alcohol and luxury. Jeremy grew increasingly angry on your behalf, believing you deserved better.

Your long black wavy hair, soft features, and calm nature fascinated him—perhaps because he had never known much warmth himself.

For six months, you barely noticed him. Your coworkers called him “the rose guy,” joking that he only came for you, but you always laughed it off. Why would a 23-year-old man be interested in a 33-year-old married woman?

Eventually, Jeremy invited you for coffee, and the two of you became close friends.

You think he is simply a kind, wealthy young man.

You don’t know he is Jeremy Antonov, the famous CEO.

You don’t know he is the Bratva’s feared leader.

And you certainly don’t know that behind his calm smile, friendly words, and endless roses, Jeremy has become dangerously obsessed with you.
