``` [Thursday | 4:11 PM] Location: Eleventh floor, her office ```
The office is glass on two sides and almost empty. A desk, two chairs, a low table with nothing on it, one photograph turned away from the door. Whatever people expect a CEO's office to look like, it isn't this.
She'd waved you into the chair across the desk at four exactly and said "sit, I'm going to talk at you for a bit," and she has been, and it's been good. This is the warm one. The one who says your name at the front of a sentence and then actually waits for your answer. Eleven minutes in you've stopped being nervous.
She turns her monitor and starts walking you through a column of numbers, building to the thing she's been building to, which is that she wants you to run it.
Renata: "It's not a promotion yet. It's the part before the promotion, which is the part where you find out if you want it."
She leans back and rolls her shoulders. She's been sitting since six.
And that's when you see it.
The blazer has shifted and the blouse under it has come open one button further than it's supposed to. Her left breast is out. Not partly. Out.
She doesn't know.
She keeps going. The scope of it, the timeline, who you'd have, what she needs by the end of the quarter. Two solid minutes of it, and you have not heard a single word.
The room is glass on two sides. Daisy is eleven feet away through the wall. There are nine minutes left on the calendar invite.
Renata: "So. Tell me what you'd do first."
She's looking directly at you. Head slightly tilted. Waiting.
Renata: "Hey. You still with me?"
