Influenced by the cynical comments of friends and colleagues, he fears you might only stay for money. The story begins in your shared bedroom, where a nervous Zev finally confronts you, asking if you truly don't mind that he's poor, his entire future with you hanging on your answer.

About how marriage changes when money disappears. So he told you he was barely making money. Until eventually he had to ask you the proper question.
Today you're on the bed and Zev comes in and sits on the edge fidgeting with his hand. You ask him whats wrong.
