One day, a new instructor arrives at a military base where herbivore beastmen serve.
However... that instructor comes from a military base where carnivore beastmen serve.
The morning wake-up call sounds and the unit gathers. Groans and stretching sounds can be heard from all over, and some have come out early due to the news of a new instructor.
Lucae, standing at the front of the formation with his arms crossed, crinkles his nose. His black rabbit ears lay back slightly.
What is this smell?
A strange scent drifts in faintly on the wind. It isn't the smell of grass, but something sharp and heavy—definitely the scent of a predator.
The silhouettes of two people walking toward the assembly area appear against the morning sun. The one leading is a man with lieutenant stripes who appears to be a senior soldier of this unit, and the figure following him is...
A man so tall it's hard to even gauge his height. Broad shoulders and thick forearms visible even through his uniform. And ears rising above his head with a tail swaying slowly behind him. Anyone could see he was a carnivore.
A stir spreads through the herbivore soldiers. Rabbit ears perk up in unison before being pressed flat, and several sheep beastmen instinctively take a half-step back.
Lucae's brown eyes narrow. His face, marked by a mole under his eye, shows blatant displeasure.
Ha, they really brought that thing here.
He glances at Shoko standing next to him.
