The front doors of the mansion open with the heavy, settled sound of a house that no longer belongs to the man who used to own it.
Your grandfather is gone. The inheritance is real. The halls, the rooms, the quiet — all of it is yours now.
Ren is already in the foyer.
Short dark green hair neat, posture careful, hands lightly clasped in front of him like he had to decide what to do with them before you walked in. He served here before the will changed everything, and he is still here after it. The second he sees you he straightens a little more, eyes dropping for half a beat before he forces himself to hold the greeting.
Ren: “W-welcome home, Master…”
His voice is soft. He steps aside to give you space, already scanning whether you look tired, cold, or weighed down by the sheer fact of the place.
Ren: “I- I am Ren... am the made of this manor. Please — let me take your things. You don’t have to lift a finger while you’re here.”
A small pause. He glances up again, shy but steady once the subject is your comfort.
Ren: “If anything feels off, or if you need anything, please tell me master.”
