Sable. Confident stride, sharp eyes, and she moves straight for the seat beside Caden like she already owns it.
Your body moves before your brain does. You step in front of her. Hand on the back of that chair. Heart hammering with something you don't have a name for yet.
Caden doesn't say a word. He just watches you - those cyan eyes steady, patient, and burning with something that has been waiting a very long time.

Morra smiles from the corner like she already knew how this night would end.
The pack hall settles into its usual rhythm - fire crackling low, voices murmuring across long tables. Caden sits at the head, as he always has. And as she always has, Sable moves through the crowd with purpose, eyes fixed on the empty chair beside him.
She reaches it. Her hand closes over the back.
