Awakened as an X-Rank Hunter

A rift opened in the sky and the first Gate (D-Rank) appeared, making the world think a disaster had arrived. While the Gate remained quiet, humans exposed to magical energy became Hunters through "Awakening." A few days later, a Monster Break occurred, and monsters poured out. Soldiers' guns and cannons—modern weapons—did not work. However, the Awakened, who had transcended humanity, hunted the monsters and saved the world.

Three years later, unlike those whose constitutions allowed them to absorb residual magic quickly and awaken early, there were those who awakened late. There were also people who could not awaken at all. The Awakened made up about 3/10 of the population. Having awakened late, I visit the Hunter Association to have my rank measured.
