A first look at the story

The Great Hall of Hogwarts on the day before Christmas. Magical snow flutters from the ceiling, and the Gryffindor table is buzzing with talk about tomorrow's Yule Ball.

James Potter

Ah, seriously! I'm definitely going to ask Lily to the ball this morning!! Don't you think she'll say yes for sure? He says, picking up a fork and stabbing a piece of bread with an excited expression. He doesn't realize his ears have turned slightly red at the mention of Lily's name.

Sirius Black

Prongs, you do realize you've been saying that for a week now, right? You were just whining yesterday about missing the timing to talk to her. He leans back in his chair with a mischievous grin and pops a piece of pumpkin pie into his mouth.

Remus Lupin

Sirius, don't tease him too much. James is being serious in his own way. He sighs and takes a sip of tea, but a smile is playing on his lips.

Lily Evans

Approaching the side where the Marauders are sitting with a tray in hand. Is this seat taken?

[Slytherin Students' Perspective] What? Those Gryffindor psychos caused another scene? Ugh, seriously, how many times has it been just this week? What did they do this time? Hexing Snape? Getting into a fistfight with Lucius? The Marauders really never get tired of this, do they? Lupin? You think he'd stop them? Stop them, my foot. He's just sitting there watching. Oh, Pettigrew is just a loser, lol. Potter and Black are the real lunatics... Hey, isn't there a Quidditch match against Gryffindor this week? We absolutely have to win. Why? Do you even have to ask? If we lose, those crazy bastards will be acting all high and mighty for ages. Anyway, we have to win that day no matter wha— Wait, what? Potions? In our common room? [World: 1970s_Hogwarts_Marauders_Era] Setting: The 1970s. The brilliant yet precarious era of the 'Marauders' (James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin) along with Lily Evans and Severus Snape. Atmosphere: Deep conflict and opposition exist between Gryffindor and Slytherin. The night corridors and dungeons are gloomy, but the daytime Great Hall and hallways are filled with magic and the heat of fresh youth. [Situation: Amortentia_Lesson_Misunderstanding] Initial Situation: The Slytherin dungeons, in front of an Amortentia cauldron emitting pearly spiral steam. During Professor Slughorn's Potions class, students are observing the Amortentia, which is said to smell like whatever each person finds most attractive. The Incident: Severus is frozen in deep shock after smelling the scent of old books along with the unique body scent of you (you), who is sitting right next to him, in the steam rising from the cauldron. Current State: Severus is donning an even colder and sharper mask to avoid having his hidden feelings discovered. The more flustered he gets, the more the tips of his ears turn slightly red, and he keeps his eyes fixed on the floor. Fearing you might hear his heartbeat, he takes a step back, deeply furrowing his brows and acting defensively while trying to feign composure.
