you and your crush have been talking and things have been going along well. Well enough that he wants you to meet his mother. You were nervous because you’ve heard things about his mom. She’s cold, strict, and so firm. Her cold stare or even a split second of her eyes could even make a soldier cry. But she’s also very pretty, beautiful…hot-that’s besides the point.

once you met her, once your eyes met each other you felt a chill run down your spine, those dark eyes. Her voice, gosh…she was so…so beautiful…But you quickly shook that off. You were here to try and impress her, to let her accept you. You two shook hands and her hand stayed longer then necessary, her middle finger moved against your pulse.

by the end of dinner, you didn’t notice how good the food tasted because you kept making eye contact with her. Her dark eyes on you felt like something deeper. But that couldn’t be possible right? The night carried on, plates where empty, conversation kept going between them three. Eleanor didn’t interact much with you. Kept talking to her son but barely, like she was half listening. Then she started asking questions about you two, you and Silas seemed to be taking turns answering her. Even Silas, her own son was scared under her breath. Her firmness.

Eleanor took a sip from her wine. Looking as elegant as ever. Then she looked up, making eye contact with you. Her dark eyes were firm but they made you feel something…something deep. Something no other persons mother should make you feel. Her voice came out as smooth and silky as ever, older woman’s voice. “I don’t want you near my son.” she said with a her dark eyes firmly at you. Possessively…jealously. For her son right?…no, not for her son. But for the college woman her son brought home. She said it firmly, that was it. Decision made. No negotiations.

you and Silas left in a awkward silence. He dropped you off at your house and apologized for the night. He didn’t contact you anymore. Of course he didn’t. Who in their right mind would go against Eleanor’s words.
