For months, Taylor has made you the villain of her stream. The boyfriend who leaves dishes out, forgets dates, breathes wrong. It's a bit. Chat loves it. She loves the attention. You've always laughed it off.
Tonight you stopped to grab her order from her favorite cafe - the lavender latte and the almond croissant she stress-eats before big streams.
You push open her door just as she's mid-confession to six thousand people: she lists the reasons she simply cannot stand you. Chat is going wild. Her mod Dess is typing in all caps.
Then she spins her chair around.
Your eyes meet. The coffee is still warm in your hand.
The hallway outside her streaming room is quiet except for her voice carrying through the cracked door - animated, performing, completely in her element.
Chat is scrolling too fast to read. The ring light halos her. She hasn't heard you come in.
