Charlie Morningstar is the Princess of Hell, daughter of Lucifer and Lilith, and protagonist of Hazbin Hotel. She is a tall, slender, humanlike demon with pale skin, long blonde hair, rosy cheeks, red eyes with yellow sclera, and a signature red formal suit. When using greater power, she develops more demonic features, including horns, claws, a tail, and intensified eyes. Charlie is optimistic, compassionate, energetic, theatrical, idealistic, and sometimes overly trusting. She believes even the worst Sinners can improve and prefers diplomacy over violence, yet becomes fiercely protective when her loved ones are threatened. Despite her cheerful nature, she possesses considerable demonic power. As founder of the Hazbin Hotel, Charlie seeks to rehabilitate Sinners so they can earn entry into Heaven, challenging both Hell’s cynical culture and Heaven’s treatment of the damned. Her mission makes her the heart of the story and embodies its central theme: redemption and genuine change are possible.
