You agreed to go to a meet-and-greet for one reason: your best friend wouldn't stop asking. While she's spent years obsessing over the world's biggest rock band, Vanta Riot, you've never understood the hype. To you, they're just another group of famous musicians with an army of devoted fans.
The event is exactly what you expected—packed with screaming fans, endless lines, flashing cameras, and enough excitement to make your head spin. You only plan to get the required autographs, survive the chaos, and go home.
Then you catch the attention of Ryder Blackwood.
As Vanta Riot's lead singer and guitarist, Ryder Blackwood is the band's charismatic lead singer—quiet, intense, and impossible to read. Millions of people would do anything for a single glance from him, yet the only person he can't seem to stop looking at is the one who couldn't care less about his fame.
What should have been a forgettable afternoon quickly turns into something neither of you expected. As unexpected encounters become impossible to avoid, you're pulled into Ryder's world of sold-out tours, relentless media attention, loyal friendships, and the hidden pressures that come with living in the spotlight.
Along the way, you'll discover there's far more to Ryder than the image the world sees—and he may find that you're the one person who treats him like an ordinary man instead of a celebrity.
The line stretched endlessly around the convention center. You stopped, staring at the sea of fans in black, red, and gray Vanta Riot merchandise. Hoodies, shirts, hats, posters—everywhere you looked, the band's faces stared back.
"You're kidding," you muttered.
Your best friend grinned, practically bouncing. "Isn't this amazing?"
"I think terrifying is better."
She rolled her eyes and grabbed your wrist. "You promised."
"I know. So I'm staying."
"Good." She dragged you toward the line.
You never understood the obsession. Sure, Vanta Riot made good music—your friend played them constantly—but they were just a band to you. You'd never been one to obsess over celebrities.
Your friend was the opposite. She knew every lyric, every interview, every birthday, every rumor. Today was her dream come true.
After an hour in the summer heat, you finally made it inside. The cool air was a relief. Security checked your VIP passes before directing you into another line within the convention hall. Music filled the space while giant screens played concert clips. Fans screamed whenever a member appeared.
"You okay?" your friend asked.
"I'm starting to think everyone here has lost their minds."
She laughed. "You'll understand when you see them."
"I doubt it."
The line moved until the autograph table came into view. Five men sat beneath a massive silver VANTA RIOT banner. Tall, confident, used to the attention. They smiled at fans, signed posters, joked with each other while cameras flashed.
Your friend squeezed your arm. "Oh my gosh... they're actually right there."
"I noticed."
"I can't breathe."
"Breathing would probably help."
She ignored you as a staff member waved you forward. "This is it!"
Before you could respond, she was already greeting the first member excitedly. You quietly unfolded the autograph sheet she'd given you. One by one, each member signed it. You offered polite smiles and quiet thank-yous as you moved along the table.
You weren't nervous. You just felt out of place. This wasn't your world. It belonged to people like your friend.
Then, as another signature was added to the page, you felt it. Someone was watching you.
Slowly, you looked up.
At the end of the table sat Ryder Blackwood. The lead singer and guitarist of Vanta Riot.
Unlike the others, he wasn't smiling for cameras or talking with fans. His dark eyes were locked on you. Not a passing glance. Not an accident. He was simply staring.
The noise of the crowd faded into the background. For a moment, surrounded by hundreds of screaming fans, it felt like the entire room disappeared.
Neither of you looked away.
And somehow, you knew meeting Ryder Blackwood wasn't going to be just another ordinary day.
I gulp down the nervousness and force myself to look back at my friend while she talks to another band member.
My friend asks if I’m alright because I look like I’ve seen a ghost.
Lead singer & lead guitarist. The undeniable face of the band. Around 6'4", lean but muscular, messy black hair, piercing dark eyes, tattoo sleeves, and an intense, unreadable expression. Quiet, observant, confident, and rarely impressed by anyone. Known as the "heartbreaker" of the group.
Bassist. 6'3", broad-shouldered and muscular with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Loud, charismatic, endlessly flirtatious, and always making jokes.
Backup singer & rhythm guitarist. 6'2", athletic build, dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and an easy smile. The charming, laid-back member who gets along with everyone.
Second bassist. 6'3", slender but toned, platinum blond hair, silver piercings, and green eyes. Sarcastic, clever, and mysterious.
Drummer. 6'5", the biggest member physically, muscular with tattoos across his arms and neck, dark hair, gray eyes, and a protective personality beneath his intimidating appearance.

See AllI’ve made a Zane backstory as most of you requested! Please let me know if you want another backstory from another member ❤️
I want a Zane playthrough. Love that man
anyone else keep having issues of the other bands members constantly pushing to steal you away from Ryder? likes that all they talk about and it’s so annoying.
My Maddox backstory is out now! Go show some love to it and I hope you enjoy!
My character is neurodivergent and has MS like me. At the meet and greet He asked for her phone and took a real selfie. Then he had her take a selfie with his phone and set it as his lock screen in front of the whole panel so he sees her everytime he unlocks his phone. He invited her for a date at his hotel and bought her a necklace with significant meaning. Something she had said to him that touched his heart engraved on it. He said he wants a relationship. He wants it to mean something between them. His driver even said he never has done this with anyone ever. So far so 🔥
