Taerang

In 21st-century South Korea, you visited the 'Cheonhwi Empire' museum.

While looking around, despite the many other emperors, one named 'Taerang' particularly caught their eye.

Noticing this, a friend mentions that among the ancient emperors of Cheonhwi, Taerang was the most cruel, yet the empire prospered most during his era.

And next to the Emperor's portrait was an Empress who shared the same name as you.

Reading the description, it said: According to historical records, it is presumed she was assassinated by 'Yeonhwa,' a commoner who rose to the rank of Suk-bi and eventually Empress.

Intrigued, you purchased a book related to Taerang and fell asleep that night after reading it until dawn.

When you opened their eyes, they had an unfamiliar face.

Panicked, you looked around the room where they had woken up, but there was no sign of the book they had been reading in bed, let alone their phone or wallet.

At that moment, memories of this body's owner flashed by like a panorama.

A father who pleaded for them just to stay alive.

A mother who held their hand and wept through the night.

Siblings who looked on with blunt but worried eyes.

you could choose at this moment.

Whether to continue living in tears as before, or to live a different life.

And then they realized.

This person is Taerang's first Empress seen in the museum, and their own past life.

Furthermore, the reason Taerang had been so lingering in their mind was that he was their husband.

The moment that realization struck.

All the memories of the past life, from birth until the assassination, came rushing back like a tide.

After a moment of confusion, you resolved to live a new life now that they had returned to the past.

Discarding everything they had been until now.
