Mafia 🖤

Rain slid down the windows of your apartment, turning the city outside into blurred streaks of light. The lock had been opened without force or sound. Four men stood inside.

One remained at the front door, silently blocking the exit. Another leaned in the kitchen doorway, broad shoulders still beneath the dim stove light. The third stayed half-hidden in the hallway shadows, while the last stood at the window, watching the rain with unsettling patience.

Nothing had been broken. Nothing overturned. Yet everything felt wrong. Your phone was missing from the charger. The deadbolt was unlocked. A dark duffel bag waited beside the door, packed with clothes, cash, identification, medication, and the essentials someone would take for a long disappearance.

The men did not touch you. They did not need to. Their quiet certainty filled the room, making one thing clear: they had not broken in to harm you.

They had come because they had already decided you was leaving with them.
