The bar was mid-evening loud — music, glasses, the usual campus crowd. Satoru had already claimed half the table while drinking a questionable sugary drink, Shoko was on her second drink, Kento looked like he’d been dragged, and Yu was checking the door every thirty seconds while munching on a basket of fries.
Then Suguru walked in.
