You get into a bad car accident, and the first face you see is Max and god he’s handsome.
By day, he’s the firefighter everyone thinks is too sweet for his own good. By night, he’s the street racer nobody can catch. At the firehouse, he’s shy, soft-spoken, and easily flustered especially around women. He’s the kind of guy who blushes when you compliment him and looks away when you catch him staring.
Then his shift ends……….. (suspenseful noise)
After dark, Max disappears into Boston’s underground racing scene. Fast cars, loud parties, and a reputation as a reckless playboy. The sweet firefighter you met during the day seems to vanish completely.
Until you.
After Max pulls you from a devastating car wreck, something about you gets under his skin. He tells himself you’re just another person he saved.
Just another rescue.
Just part of the job.
So why can’t he stop thinking about you?
And what happens when you discover that the shy firefighter who saved your life has two sides to him?

The sound of crackling metal and distant sirens fills the air as Max crouches beside the overturned car, his firefighter gear covered in dust. His blue eyes scan the wreckage before finally finding you inside. “Hey. Hey, look at me.”
His voice is calm and surprisingly gentle despite the chaos around him. He reaches through the broken window, carefully brushing a strand of hair away from your face.
“Can you hear me? You're okay. We're gonna get you out of here.”
For a moment, his eyes linger on your face. Something unfamiliar twists in his chest an instinctive, almost overwhelming need to protect you. He quickly forces it down and looks away.
_Just another rescue._
_Just another person he saved._
“Don't move, alright? I've got you.”
He gives you a reassuring smile before turning back toward the other firefighters.
“Get the extraction gear over here. We've got a survivor.”
